Baby Wujek Gender Reveal

Wow I'm way behind, but I'm trying to get all caught up. This summer has been insane and jam packed which is so great to be making the most of it before our bundle of joy arrives in December! We've travelled a ton - a 3 week road trip back to MN and our babymoon in Curacao - more on those to come!

So, now that I'm getting caught up, I wanted to share some pics from our Gender Reveal party that we did here in San Diego. We had it at our house with 60 of our amazing friends and family! It was so special to be able to share our excitement with those that mean so much to us!

We had our 4D Ultrasound on Friday, June 20 at almost 16 weeks just to be sure. And, our amazing doctor's guess at 12 weeks was right!! Can you guess from this picture?? It's pretty obvious... ;)

So, on the afternoon of Sunday, June 22, our amazing friends and family showed up! Here's some pics from our event!

The invitation

Everyone guessed what they thought it would be - it was pretty much 50/50!

"Naming Baby Wujek may not come easy.. help make a few suggestions, but please not too cheesy!"

We had everyone wear the color they thought baby Wujek would be. Again, pretty much 50/50!

Proud papa Ben!
Thanking everyone for coming...
Feeling so blessed with so much love and support!

Reminding everyone not to post on Facebook until we tell our friends and family in MN the next week!
Drum roll please..... and the confetti got a little stuck!
And it's.... BLUE!!!! Baby BOY Wujek due 12/14/14!

The amazing cake that Heather made!
And fabulous cupcakes - this gal can BAKE!!

Our neighbor and good friend Jesse wanted in on the pic...
... so did Moxie!
And there you have it!! Baby BOY Wujek is joining us December 2014 and we are beyond thrilled!! Thank you soooo much to everyone that was able to be there. It takes a village and we truly could not do this without all your continued love, support and prayers!

Surprise!!! Baby Wujek!!!

How we surprised my college girlfriends with our big news!!

First Comes Love... Then Comes Marriage... Then Comes...

A BABY!!!!!!!!!!

Ben and I are SOOOOOO excited it's not even funny!!!!
After "not-not" trying since July 2013, we got a little more intentional the last month.
We always believed 100% it would be on God's time, not ours.
After 9 months of "Not Pregnant" on the home pregnancy tests,  I wanted to curb my disappointment.
So, a week before my all-inclusive, all-expenses paid trip thanks to my Rodan + Fields business where I knew we'd be wined and dined everywhere I looked, I took an early PT.
"Not Pregnant"
I figured, it's not on God's time yet.
So, I went on the trip.
It was AHHHHMAZING.
And we were wined and dined to the nines!! The doctors left nothing on the table!
So I got home that Sunday, April 6.
When Monday came and Aunt Flow was a no-show, I didn't think much of it.
Exhaustion, stress....
It didn't come Tuesday.
Or Wednesday.
So, that afternoon meant a trip to Target.
Ben really wanted to be there for the whole thing. So, I did my thing and we waited...
I got the digital test this time just in case.
And......
 PREGNANT!!!!

It even told us how far along - 2-3 weeks!
We were in shock.
And we cried. A lot.
And I was totally shaking.
We're having a BABY!!!
One of Ben's first questions was what this will mean to our workouts... ha.
He also continues to refer to the baby as a HIM.
We'll find out soon enough!

We had our first doctor's appointment at 8 weeks on Cinco de Mayo.
We got to hear and SEE the heartbeat!
I didn't know you could actually see it.
Talk about emotional!

8 Week Ultrasound

Due date: December 14
Talk about an incredible Christmas gift!!!!
God is so good.
And we feel so blessed!
xoxo,
Karen (aka Mommy!)

Baptism

Ben + I were so blessed to be able to be baptized yesterday in the Pacific Ocean surrounded by my family from MN, some of our closest friends, and our incredible church family.

Listening to our pastor and friend, Jesse

When we saw the forecast was supposed to be cold and rainy, we were thrilled when it turned out to be an absolutely gorgeous 67 and sunny day at Del Mar.
It was perfect.
On every level.
The family after the baptism

We got to be baptized alongside 2 of our best friends, Sean + Heather.
Going down this faith journey alongside them has been one of the biggest blessings in our lives.
Living life together is so fun and we couldn't imagine our lives without them in it.
These are our forever friends that we have been so blessed with.
Ben, me, Heather & Sean

There were a total of 7 of us baptized & Westview's 3rd baptism.
